Internship Opportunities

Protection of Juvenile Justice is local non-profit legal aid organization working to promote the respect the rights of the child and their best interest, and protect the child from all kinds of abuse. The key components of the work of Protection of Juvenile Justice are (1) Legal Consultations and Legal Services, (2) Legal Capacity Building for Law Enforcement Officials, Civilians, Students, and Relevant Institutions, (3) Social Services, and (4) Special Activity for Child Inmates in the Prison of Cambodia.

PJJ welcomes interns from various countries in the world. However, the interns must meet some of the following criteria:

Requirements

- Speak English (Preference is given to interns from America, Australia, and Europe)
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree in law, management, administration, psychology, or child rights
- Have experience in legal services, project management, public administration, human  resource management, or psychological work
- Be computer literate and able to use most applications, especially MS Office
- Be able to work for PJJ for at least six months.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Work closely with the program coordinator, lawyers, investigators, and director where possible
- Provide feedbacks to the ongoing implementation of the projects
- Draft funding proposals where necessary
- Discuss with the project-implementing people to find the possible solutions to any difficult cases where possible
- Draft progress and annual narrative reports for donors where possible
- Help with human resource management where possible
